The collection contains McMinn’s letters to hometown friend Mary Biggerstaff throughout McMinn’s college experiences. Biggerstaff, who was approximately a year behind McMinn, studied at TCU in Fort Worth. Most of the letters were written consistently once a week (Thursdays for the most part.) Several letters from her friends Intha, Frieda Wirtz, and May accompany the collection.

Vol 1. 1924-1939; vol. 2 1939-1947. Includes information regarding Gaupp's father, Dr. Frederick E. Gaupp, who taught at Southwestern. The memoir primarily relates family history. Prof. Bill Jones has written a summary description that accompanies the volumes. The Gaupp's fled Germany, leaving the boys in England and Switzerland. This collection contains materials related to the Schier-Gross Family. The majority of the collection is made up of photographs from the late 1800s to the early 1930s. Very few subjects in the photographs have been identified. The collection also contains a few documents, postcards, advertising ephemera, and stereographs.
